Sunset Trail Ride & Chicken BBQ

Follow the winding trail down through the narrows on the canyon floor, where erosion has carved natural dens for coyotes, bobcats, and other small wildlife. Watch for wild burros as you cross the mesa. Then, under a sunset sky, enjoy Red Rock Canyon and the majestic and colorful Spring Mountains as you climb to the Overlook summit and glimpse the glittering lights of Las Vegas, then ride back to camp beneath the stars, guided by the light of the campfire. Enjoy the taste of Western hospitality with barbequed *chicken served up with all the fixin's -- green salad, baked potato, baked beans, corn on the cob, beverages and an old-fashioned marshmallow roast for desert. After dinner sit around the campfire and hold hands while gazing up at the stars and enjoy some good ol' cowboy entertainment

IMPORTANT!!The Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is currently experiecing extreme draught conditions, and the Bureau of Land Management has imposed a ban on open fires, effective from the middle of May 2007 and probably continuing into early fall. We regret that we won't be able to have our traditional open campfires during the Sunset BBQ Trail Ride this summer. But we'll still roast marshmallows over the coals in our grill, and we'll gather 'round the lantern light for conversation and entertainment after dinner. Our regular campfires will return as soon as the ban is lifted.
